Prevail: My Word for 2019

Prevail: My Word for 2019

Welcome 2019!!!

My word for 2018 was enthusiasm. To me, enthusiasm means God within – it cannot be put on falsely. I wanted to exude a deep enthusiasm for what I did, what I talked about, who I was with – all parts of my life. I am so thankful I focused on that for an entire year. I feel like I knew the true meaning and will carry it with me forever.

My new word for 2019 came to me immediately. Usually I sit and ponder and write a lot of words until one feels right. Not this time, my word for 2019 is prevail.

prevail | prəˈvāl | verb[no object] prove more powerful than opposing forces; be victorious:

win, win out/through, triumph, be victorious, carry the day, come out on top, succeed, prove superior, conquer, overcome.

No matter what: I will prevail. I will be a winner. I will come out on top. I will pull for others. I will know and practice ‘good is cool’, I know my time will come. I will take extreme ownership. I will blame myself. I will overcome anything.

Do you choose a word each year? I would love to know what yours is!
