The Good Is Cool event was this past weekend and it was incredible. If you followed along, you know that Clearly Confident has come to an end and GUIDE Culture is taking its place.
We are also coming up on a year since the very first session. A lot has happened in a year. I’ve made a lot of mistakes, I’ve learned so much. Today, I am going to narrow it down to 5 things:
1. Fail and fail fast.
Failing is awesome. You learn so much from it. You grow from it. Don’t let it get you down. Be excited about it to learn how to be better.
2. Make a decision.
DE means ‘to get rid of’. Cide means ‘to kill’. When you decide something, you kill off all other options. When you decide you are going to do something, you kill off any other result that could possibly happen. Make a decision about what’s next and keep your eyes on the mission.
Not just tasks, delegate results. When people know results you’re looking for, they are able to make decisions for you and you can keep your hands and brain out of things to focus on the stuff you’re great at.
4. Any action will create results.
Any action OR inaction will create a result. The more you show up, the more results will follow. Consistency is king.
When something isn’t working, try something else. Adjust things as you go until you gain momentum and it starts to feel right.
I wish I could list out everything I have learned in this massive year of growth. I am honestly still processing it all. One thing I know for sure: GUIDE Culture is going to continue to change lives. It’s only the beginning.
